They treat your pet as if it was there own.
I haven't actually taken my pets here for veterinary care however I have a snake and the bad storms made the power go out at our home on Monday night as it did many homes. When we woke up the next morning the power was still out and Jenga, our ball python, was as cold as ice. Snakes cannot create their own body heat therefore they rely on an alternative source of heat to function and remain active. We went into panic mode, we knew Jenga needed heat or he could die, there was no way that he would survive having a cage temp at 60 degrees all day long when normally his temp is supposed to be 85-90. I called almost every veterinarian in town asking them if they would please just let Jenga sit, in his cage and with his own lights, in a room where his lights could be plugged in and he would be warm inside his cage. I told them no one would have to handle him or anything like that. Can you believe that all of the vets I called in Jefferson City said no? They told me that they would not let my PET sit in his cage and use their electricity to warm it..... What was I going to do? leave my snake to die due to being too cold? I finally called weathered rock... they did not hesitate to let Jenga sit in their facility so his heat lamps could be plugged in! They had compassion for my scaly baby and when I told them he may have to stay overnight because our electric still was not back on, they were 100% okay with this. This may not seem like a big deal to some people but it is to us. Jenga is just as important to us as our furry children. I know that not everyone likes snakes but I would expect a veterinarians office to be more compassionate about peoples pets evidently the other vets in Jefferson City need to learn from Weathered Rock.. I am now considering going to Weathered Rock for my other pets needs as well..

Today I got the worst scare I have had in a long time. Before work Harley had 2 seizures. At the time I wasn't sure what was happening but called Weather Rock Vet Clinic. Harley had not yet been seen before hand by this clinic but all his paper work was there but that didn't matter they said to bring him right in. I was so upset that Krystal , my daughter had to take me . Right away they got us in to see the Vet and he was so wonderful. He was so gentle and kind to Harley that it set my mind at ease. With blood work and talking to the most wonderful vet about my sweet baby boy Harley's history we found out that he has Epilepsy and will be on medication everyday for life. He is very tired but doing much better. Thank you Weathered Rock Vet Clinic for being there for Harley and I. Thank you for everything you did. I am proud to call you my Vet.
