A solid B but stars lost for how long it took for the Hibachi dude to get out thereand the awful hostess. The sushi is just okay, but it's a mall, what do you expect? Go to Love Sushi for excellent sushi and people who are happy to see you spend your money there.
Fantastic food and the price was very affordable.
And let me not forget to mention the bitter, burned out, unfriendly and cold 'hostess' who took us to our table. Holy Mother of God!!! Why in the world does a manager put someone so F- as the first person a customer sees when they walk in?
Great food, great show, great atmosphere, and the lunch option is more affordable if you are unsure about trying someplace new. This is one of my favorite places to take someone to eat in Jefferson City.
Keep in mind that it's a show and can be a very good one. Our cook was funny, albeit well rehearsed and put on a good little show preparing the food.
We came back to the office smelling of greasy smoke.... :-( Our server was decent, kept up on the refills with our drinks and brought us whatever we asked for as soon as he good. But friendly, personable and happy to be there he was not.
My issue was that we were seated first at the table and had only an hour for lunch. About 20 minutes later, more people were seated and when he finally turns up and starts the show, when the food was ready, he started serving the girls who had just arrived. We had to take our food to go because we were already late.
Food was OK i've had better sushi.... and the staff was rude.
Everything was amazing! I went with my girlfriend and her parents. We had the chicken teriyaki, her mom had the vegetable tempura, and her dad had the steak and shrimp. We all loved our food. Waiter was on top of refills and the place was really clean.
The food is just veggies, meat and rice cooked on a flattop in front of you. Done with lots of fanfare, flames, chopping utensils, it might be thrilling for little kids or folks who don't get out much.
Anyway, my first time there and my co-worker was raving about how good it was. If even one person in your party wants hibachi (food cooked in front of you on an open grill) then you are all seated around a big grill.
