The food was amazing if you like soul food, but the portions were small, 9.50 for a sectioned foam plate. About 6 fried okra and about 4 spoonfuls of baked beans, 4 chicken tenders. The staff is friendly, but lazy. We didn't get our drinks til after dinner. $1.90 for a can of Sprite!? I feel stupid for ordering drinks. If you really want good soul food, id recommend it, but keep my review in mind
Jefferson City has a true gem on their hands. I have never had a pork chop so tender and juicy. Taste was superb. And I am not big on desserts but you can best believe I will be going back, over 200 miles for that banana pudding. My goodness it was sooooo delicious. Soul good, soul food. Comfort food.
We were on our back from va hospital and we were all hungry so Google came up with blue skillet. It was very good food and great hospitality. Without a doubt we will be returning .
YOU NEED TO EAT HERE! I am not from the area, but If I am ever in Jeff City this stop happens, never miss a chance to eat here. They have the best chicken in MO and maybe the best I’ve had, and I’ve been working in food literally all my life! (Mom/grandma owned a restaurant and catering business). But it doesn’t stop at chicken! The fish is AMAZING!!! And if there is a side dish on their menue you can be sure that you will love it! Everything is homemade, from scratch, and made on the spot. THIS IS NOT FAST FOOD! There will be a wait, but that is SOOOOO WORTH IT for the quality of food you are going to get! On top of that, the staff here are the nicest people you will meet today! They will check on you to make sure all is the best it can be! Awesome people!!! Please if you are in Jeff City, do not do yourself the disservice of not eating here! This stop is for you! Come grab a bite!
It is a friendly place. It states when u walk it, that it's not fast food. They cook what u order from the menu. My first time here though and I wasn't disappointed. I like to give the local establishments a try. And and AND, the only think pork related on the menu is pork chops. FINALLY I can have green beans and no worries about bacon/ pork. AWESOME.
