The tours are awesome. The interpreters are very knowledgeable on Capitol history. The inside of the building is beautiful. The reason why is explained during the tour.
One of the most beautiful State Capitol buildings in the country. Much better on the inside than the outside.
We stopped here on our way from Kansas City to St. Louis. It is about half way on the drive and a great pitstop. The bottom floor is a museum where you can learn about the history of the state. You can go up several floor and see into the Senate and the House rooms. Everyone working there was very knowledgeable and willing to share with us.
Walked around the grounds. Loved all the statues and fountains. Must see the brass model of the USS Missouri.
Great place to go learn a little about Missouri's past... beautifully maintained grounds, museum inside, and plenty of other historical bits nearby.
