As a former wrestler from MANY years ago, I’ve missed the brotherhood and family of working hard together to get better on and off the mats. This place more than fills that void. This is my home away from home, and these people are my family.

Great family environment! The owners/coaches are very knowledgeable and very friendly! Could not ask for a better place to train!! My kids also train there as well and they are amazing with children!! Highly recommend!!
Perfect family environment. Inviting atmosphere. Very clean. Owners are awesome. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting to shed a few pounds or learn self defense. There is a class for everyone.
This is a great place to learn. The instructors are knowledgeable and treat the students respectfully. The facility is nice. One of the things that makes this place special is that there is an unusual degree of comraderie among the students. Even if you are in great shape now, you will find yourself in better shape after training here - and, training here is a lot of fun.
I have only been around since November but they have already made an adjustment to the schedule to better accommodate the student growth and keep the classes grouped such that they facilitate the best possible learning environment the kids based on their age. They also added a Women's class on Monday nights that my oldest really enjoys.
Have been interested in BJJ for quite some time. I had last looked into it several months back and couldn't find anything close to home, and was kind of bummed about it. A week or so before Thanksgiving, I stumbled across Gracie Barra Jefferson City. They had recently opened up. I stopped in and the owners / coach were very inviting. They explained how everything works and within a day I found myself and 3 children (14, 10, 9) all out for age appropriate classes to try. The environment is definitely family friendly, and focuses on developing strength and knowledge. in a respectful and inviting atmosphere.
