Wonderful selection of dresses, jeans and the ladies are the best stylists around!
Saffee's is special. It's old school - very old school. And I love this place! Think... town square, the old "dress shop," "charge it to my account," etc. The shop's decor/design and inventory presentation borders on being a mess, lol. Don't get me wrong, it's fairly organized, but it's jammed with stuff, and there is something in every corner, shelf and hook. I guess if it were streamlined and renovated,it would lose some the vintage-dress-shop atmosphere I like so much. Fyi, pack a lunch to access the restroom--up the old staircase, step around where the bomb of new stock went off, and keep walking to the other side of the shop.

I will not cross their threshold without mentally letting go of $100+. Their buyers do a fabulous job of offering something for everyone (ages 15-95). If you lost everything you owned and needed to get to the ball tonight, this would be one-stop shopping from head to toe. They have lingerie and purses/shoes to jewelry and gowns. I get so many compliments on a necklace I bought for $18 (regular price) but I also splurged on an indie artist's bracelet for my daughter-in-law. They carry standard designers but the brands that are much harder to find is the main reasons I shop here. Another reason: if there is some kind of inventory theme going on, it's colorful and/or embellished. I wish they stocked more of the Adore brand! They're almost always sold out of Adore items. I was in Jeff City for a conference a few weeks ago, and I set aside 4 hours to shop here. Their other shop in Columbia is apparently smaller. I have already allowed for extra time during my next trip to KC to stop at one of them.
