The day they were scheduled my grandfather fell and broke his hip so they postponed the service. The next day the guy said he could come back by and arrived around 6pm because he was down the road. We found out any service he completed that day would be overtime after hours charge and he wouldn't complete anyway. We planned for the next day for him to come back and start the job. I told him to give me a heads up when he was coming and I would meet him because I was at the hospital. He finally called late that day, maybe 4 or 5 pm and he said he was at the house. Apparently because we were trying to be flexible with them on schedule they stuck us on the back end of the day. Well the guy is there and I assume he already started the clock even though I was 20 minutes away at the hospital. When I arrived I let him in to start working with directions to call my grandmother with questions. He ended up working till about 8 without ever getting those high priced after hours approved and doesn't even finish the job. He comes back the next day and finally finished. He didn't bother to put the washer and dryer back or to plug them up. He replaced a lot of the plumbing behind the washer for no reason when all he had to do was replace the hot water shutoff.
The job was to fix an outside spicket that was always dripping and to replace the hot water shutoff spicket behind the washer because it had locked up.
James 883 was a tremendous help tonight with our plumbing. We had not been able to use any kind of water all day. He found the clog in record time and fixed it. I was impressed with his knowledge of the whole situation. Thank you, James and Roto Rooter.
Also note, that price was actually for just the plumbing. He didn't put a nice plastic piece on the plumbing because he wanted more time and money to get that and to repair the sheetrock he tore out. The pictures are of the $1100 final product.
Update: I responded to the email address and sent info as they requested and never got a response. My father-in-law started calling multiple times on multiple occasions and they finally refunded $600. They didn't offer to patch up the wall and make it look professional. Its nice that the grandparents got $600 back but they are still paying $500 for a $150-$250 job. I don't recommend these people. If we hadn't complained, left reviews, and continued to call the office multiple times the grandparents would still be out all the money they were swindled out of.
I never thought about my drain lines having tree roots in them.. And I had a slow floor drain that I thought was hopeless. Now I know my main line is clear to the big city line, and my floor drain takes full flow from garden hose. Unbelievable!
The real kicker was the bill of $1100. Absoutly absurd. This company definitaly took advantage of my grandmother's situation and flexibility. All the plumber had to do was replace both spickets and he could have done it within normal hours in one day. Dont trust these crooks.
We had a sewer line backup. I called and was treated very courteously. I was informed of how long it would take to get a technician to my house. There were a couple of calls ahead of me, so I requested a 20 minute alert so I would know when I needed to leave my office. I received this call and James the technician arrived as scheduled. James was very pleasant and professional.
Roto-Rooter was prompt and friendly. They came out the same day we called! Service was quick, we were very pleased. Will use them in the future!
These guys took my grandmother-in-law for quite a ride.
