J C Penney is one of the finest retail stores in the country and this store in Jefferson City is a excellent store in an excellent location.
This is the only place I take my granddaughters and because I work in Jeff City, the only place I'll go to in town to get my hair cut. It is a hit and miss place, I would suggest you don't take the first stylist they give you, I learned that the hard way.
There are master stylists and ladies who have been there a long time, as well as girls who have only been cutting hair and such for a year or less. One of the worst cuts and eyebrow waxes I have had was by one of the younger, newer girls. At the end of my service, she gave me her contact information and told me she was moving to another salon in case I wanted to follow her....NOT.
The other services I've had done there by the master stylists were done very well and I was happy. My granddaughters who are 9 and 10 are treated kindly and professionally and they are always happy with the work done.
Nice store! Friendly staff, clean store, and low prices. Most importantly they have my size in clothes which is really rare to find this days.
