Grandson (just under 3yrs) loves the exhibits in the Runge Nature Center main building. My husband and I enjoy walking the paths.
We are so lucky to have this park nearby. It has an amazing nature center with a library and so much information about Missouri wildlife. The trails vary from long and "off path" to well kept paved for anyone who might have difficulty walking. The parking is excellent and they keep the entire park in such beautiful shape. It's a great place to take a picnic lunch and sit on a bench to enjoy nature.
Great place to take the family, Saturday they usually have a educational event going on. Very nice trails to walk too.
Amazing! I need to go back. Very kid friendly. We only hiked for about an hour and we saw deer, wild turkeys (I think) and chipmunks. We are new to the area and will definitely be regulars here.
The Nature Center is an incredible place to explore, both inside and out. Many exhibitions and programs available to children and adults. Many paved walking trails for nature lovers wanting to catch nature up close, and located inside the city.
