Slowly improving over time. The mall has been in decline over the last decade. Less foot traffic, fewer stores, an aging building. In the last couple of years, they have been adding new vendors, and giving the outside a facelift. The children's play area is a nice new addition, soft floors and obstacles for the kids to climb around on. The parking lot has been given attention as well as the entrances. It appears that new stores and an improved facility may bring some life back into the mall.
The mall two years ago was the perfect place to enjoy a day with your family full of shopping and great experiences. The layout of the mall is now confusing and dull. Not to mention the stores keep changing. Getting worse and worse
It's boring and quiet with a tiny food court and just a Dillards and other stores...not fun. :'( The only fun thing to do is ride the little animals, and sometimes even that gets old.
I love what they are doing to the capital mall! It's looking really nice. I'm excited to see the new things that are coming for this mall. We love the play area for the kids, and the arcade! Since the remodel we have been at the mall way more than we ever visited before!
The capital mall is small compared to other malls. There are many vacant rooms where stores used to be. Some stores have closed there recently. Although many remodeling efforts are being made and some new stores are being opened. Fuji is located inside and is a very popular restaurant and Dunhams Sports just opened and offers many options in sporting goods. A lot of people use the building to walk around to get exercise.
