Dr sporleder has been my doctor for about 22years , he is also the Dr I have been taking both of my children to for over 16 years now.. We couldn't be happier with our care !!!
After much research for a highly recommended physician that might be able to help my son address his ongoing, potentially life-threatening health issues, I was impressed with Dr. Sporleder's reviews, and selected him, also, because he was young, and a male, and felt my teeneage son could relate well with him. However, when I initially called, a very rude person, who answered his office phone, informed me that the Dr. would not be able to see him, as he was not taking any new Medicaid patients. I then called back and stated that I would pay cash for the initial visit, to see if the Dr. would even be able or willing to work with my child. The rude office staff then proceeded to tell me that, it didnt matter if I wanted to pay cash for his office visits, that I HAD to use my Medicaid, and they wouldnt see him. I asked why, I asked, "do you not allow patients to pay cash for their office visits?"....she then told me that if we had Medicaid, they wouldnt take my cash payment, and that if we were self-pay, that all the referrals that the Dr. would make for tests, etc, out of his office would also have to be paid in cash, even though the diagnostic places all take Medicaid.
I just happened to get transfered to him a few years ago when the other dr left and i honestly couldbt be happier been seeing him for 5 years now and hes the only dr I have had that actually listens!
I feel very strongly that this Dr is someone who could have helped my child, and we are being penalized for having Medicaid, even though I offered to pay cash for the office visits. This policy is atrocious and clearly penalizes those of us who do not have private health insurance. I hope that Dr. Sporleder reads this and contacts me at my email address....dreamspinnerstudio at yahoo dot com....very disappointed in the entire process....shame on the medical community...
Dr. Sporleder has been my doctor for almost 20 years. He's a great listener and truly cares about your health. If you'd like a doctor with a wonderful bedside manner, one that makes you laugh even though you feel horrible. Give him a chance.
Horrible! I'm pregnant , I asked several times if he could fill my vofran prescription so I can go back to work becuz without it i can't do anything but throw up. He never sent it in!!!! Now I have to get points from work!
