I went to this doctor on referral from a therapist. Wish I would of looked him up on internet and read reviews. 4 out of 5 bad. and I experienced exactly what the reviews claim. Go to another doctor. He has his nurse check my reflexes does a xray and basically tells me I have no problems and he can't help me. I have MRI and an older xray that says different. He asked me who I went to and claims he has never heard of Columbia orthopedic and doctors. Acts as though he is insulted because I came to him for back pain and he is a spinal surgeon. isn't the lower part of spine part of back? He walks out of room never says bye, see you later just leaves me hanging and goes to next room. What a waste of my money and time. I hope this man has his license pulled someday. He should not be a doctor in control of peoples lives. I pray for anyone who trust him in the operating room.
This was the worst experience we have ever in our life had with a doctor! He was unbelievably sarcastic, rude, disrespectful and arrogant! My husband and I have never been talked to and spoken down to like that from anyone, let alone a doctor. I get angry just thinking about it! My husband went to him with lower back pain and he proceeded to royally chastised him for even coming to him without going to our primary doctor first. Told us we had no business being there and when I asked him a question he told me that it would be a waste of his time to explain it to me because I would just forget what he said before I even got to my car. I was told to just look it up on the internet! I could go on and on about this so called "doctor" but I think I've made my point. Oh, one more thing, when we arrived and he offered to shake my hand, I was told not to squeeze to hard because they were a surgeons hands!!! If I could, I would not have even given this man one star!! Please find yourself another doctor because he shouldn't even have a license!
Took my mother here today. After waiting almost 2 hours to see him, Dr Spears refused to shake hands. He stated that he didn't want anyone to squeeze his hands too tightly and break any bones. He proceeded to tell my mom that the pain she was experiencing was because she was old. He talked down to her like she wasn't capable of understanding him. When she asked a question to get some clarification, Dr. Spears sighed and said that he had already tried to explain things in the most basic way possible so that she could understand. Also, as he talked at us, his voice kept getting louder. I'm sure everyone in the waiting room could hear. I have never been treated so poorly. Would not recommend this doctor to anyone. Stay away!
