I no longer live in Jefferson City, but every time I'm back I try to male it over.
P.S. try the mushroom fries, they are so good that you'll never be able to enjoy regular fried mushrooms ever again.
Paddy's is a Jefferson City landmark (or at the very least on the register of historic locations) its owner Alan is one of the most gracious hosts I've ever met. The food there is easily among the best in the city and the selection of libations is suffient to the desires of the most snooty of pub-goers. It should be noted, this is a PUB not a bar. There is no games or attraction here. There are a couple tv's, but the allure of Paddy Malone's is the comradship you experience with her other patrons.
I would encourage anyone that makes the good decision to give Paddy's a try to ask for Alan or Tommy while you're there... ask them to share with you their stories about their voyages crossing the Atlantic Ocean to visit Ireland. It's fun listening to them recall from memory the neat things they've seen with other people, they took with them, while abroad!
Set in a quaint historic building near the Missouri capitol, Party Malone's is a true pub. The perfect place to enjoy great food, expertly poured pints, and conversation with friends in a cozy atmosphere. The staff is consistently excellent. The owners love this pub and it shows. I recommend any of the fresh "best in town" burgers, a pint of Guinness, and the best fried portobello mushrooms I've ever had (don't forget the Guinness cheese sauce!). Sláinte
Fantastic place. A little small but some of the best food in Jeff city. Good selection of microbrews as well. Relatively laid back vibe.
Some of the best food in Jefferson City! You have to try a burger but you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. It's a family owned business and the staff is knowledgeable and attentive. The atmosphere/history of this place is also extensive. It's a must visit when you're in Jefferson City!
If you're seeking a memorable experience with friends and family this is undoubtedly a "top notch" spot to do so. When you arrive the staff is friendly, prompt, and they all smile making patrons feel welcome. The food is savory and the drinks seem to "hit the spot"...
